Instructions

Step 1/4

Prepare the Gnocchi

  • 150g Gnocchi, Uncooked

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the gnocchi and cook according to the package instructions, usually about 2-3 minutes or until they float to the surface. Drain and set aside.

Step 2/4

Cook the Ground Beef

  • 1 tsp Olive Oil
  • 1/2 Small Onion
  • 1 Garlic Clove
  • 150g Ground Beef

While the gnocchi is cooking, heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the finely diced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute. Increase to medium high heat and add the ground beef to the pan, seaosning with salt and pepper to taste. Cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until it’s no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.

Step 3/4

Prepare the Sauce

  • 120g Canned Diced Tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp Dried Basil
  • 1/4 tsp Dried Oregano

Add the canned diced tomatoes to the skillet with the ground beef. Stir in the dried oregano and dried basil. Simmer for about 5-10 minutes, allowing the flavors to combine and the sauce to thicken slightly.

Step 4/4

Combine and Serve

  • 15g Grated Parmesan
  • 3g Fresh Basil

Add the cooked gnocchi to the skillet with the sauce and ground beef. Stir well to coat the gnocchi with the sauce and heat through for about 2 minutes. Serve topped with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
